Symptoms of low testosterone
Low testosterone — sometimes called hypogonadism or testosterone deficiency — is more common than many men realise. If several of the below apply to you, it is worth getting tested.
Benefits of treatment
When testosterone levels are properly assessed and optimised, most patients report meaningful improvements across multiple areas of their health and daily life.
Not just a prescription service
TRT requires careful monitoring to be both safe and effective. We don't just prescribe and leave you to it — we provide ongoing blood testing, dose adjustments, and regular check-ins throughout your treatment.
The Process
How our TRT service works
A clear, clinical pathway from first enquiry to ongoing treatment — all managed in one place.
Complete the questionnaire
Start by completing our short, confidential online symptom questionnaire. This helps us understand your symptoms before your appointment.
Blood test
We carry out a testosterone blood test to establish your baseline hormone levels. Results are reviewed by our qualified Independent Prescriber.
Consultation
You'll have a thorough consultation to review your results, discuss your symptoms in detail, and explore your treatment options.
Prescription & ongoing monitoring
If TRT is clinically appropriate, we prescribe and manage your therapy with regular follow-up appointments to optimise your levels.
Why Creigiau Pharmacy
Managed by someone who actually knows you
TRT is not a one-size-fits-all treatment. At Creigiau Pharmacy, your therapy is managed by Gareth Thomas — a GPhC-registered Independent Prescriber with specific qualifications in TRT diagnosis, blood testing, and ongoing management. You are not passed between staff or lost in an online portal.
We offer a complete service: from initial symptom assessment and blood testing, through to prescribing and regular monitoring. Every step is handled in-house, in one place.
Unlike online TRT clinics, you have a real, accessible pharmacist available to answer questions, adjust your dose, and support you in person — or by phone if that is easier.

Common questions
Do I need a GP referral?
No. Our TRT service is entirely private. You can self-refer directly — no GP appointment or referral letter is needed to get started.
How do I know if I have low testosterone?
Common signs include persistent fatigue, reduced libido, mood changes, difficulty concentrating, and loss of muscle mass. The only way to confirm low testosterone is through a blood test, which we carry out as part of the assessment process.
Is the service confidential?
Completely. All consultations take place in a private consultation room. Your information is not shared without your consent.
What happens after the blood test?
Once your results are back, we'll arrange a consultation to go through them with you. If your testosterone levels are below the normal range and TRT is appropriate for you, we can prescribe and manage your treatment from that point.
How is TRT administered?
TRT can be administered in several ways — injections, gels, or patches — depending on what suits your lifestyle and clinical needs. We'll discuss the options during your consultation.
How often will I need follow-up appointments?
Follow-up appointments are typically every 3 months once your levels are stable. During the initial phase of treatment, appointments may be more frequent to ensure your dose is optimised correctly.
Can I continue TRT if I move or travel?
Yes. We can provide prescriptions that can be dispensed at other pharmacies, and our team is available by phone or email to support you between appointments.
Ready to take the first step?
Complete our short confidential questionnaire and we will be in touch to arrange your blood test and consultation.
